AFIT Admission Requirements 2026/2027: 4 Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the admission requirements for AFIT for the 2026/2027 academic session?
The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has different admission requirements depending on the programme. For undergraduate degree programmes, candidates generally need at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, and must meet the applicable JAMB UTME requirements. ND, HND, pre-HND and postgraduate applicants may have different academic qualifications and entry conditions. Candidates should confirm the requirements for their chosen programme through AFIT’s official admission portal.
2. What is the JAMB cut-off mark for AFIT admission in 2026/2027?
According to AFIT’s official 2026/2027 admission announcement, candidates require a minimum UTME score of 200 for degree programmes and 160 for National Diploma (ND) programmes to qualify for the Post-UTME screening exercise. Meeting the minimum score does not guarantee admission, as candidates must also satisfy their chosen course’s requirements.
3. Does AFIT require five O’Level credits for admission?
Yes. Candidates generally need five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics where required by their programme. Engineering courses typically require Physics and Chemistry, while management and social science programmes have different subject combinations. The credits may be obtained in not more than two sittings, subject to the specific programme requirements.

Candidates can apply through the official AFIT admission portal. The application process generally involves:
-
Meeting the UTME and O’Level requirements for the chosen programme.
-
Selecting AFIT as the preferred institution in JAMB, as required.
-
Completing the online application and paying the applicable screening fee.

Submitting the application and printing the confirmation for reference.
